"I read all of the reviews and still decided to purchase from The Canteen at The Berrics. I saw a deck with a mural I really wanted to display in my room with two signatures, Eric Koston & Steve Berra, I really liked the layout.
I am not a skateboarder, just a guy who admires the craft from afar, so when I purchased this skateboard deck I saw on the page that it said estimated shipping time is 3-4 weeks. That did seem like a long time but at the time of my order it did say preorder, so I figured that makes sense then. I purchased my autographed deck on October 7th, 2024 and it was shipped November 22nd, 2024 and delivered November 26th, 2024. That's 7 weeks total.
During this waiting game process, the product page was removed, that made me feel very uneasy given the negative reviews about not receiving orders, I got anxious after that. After waiting for 4 weeks, I sent an email to 'info@theberrics.com', until I realized there is no one at this email address. It doesn't bounce back an error, but it became rather apparent that no one monitors that email, so I started looking around back at the reviews and found 'canteen@theberrics.com' which does work.
They got back to me relatively quickly once I had the right email address, though they provided no ETA. I do like that they gave me the option to cancel and receive a refund, that was nice of them, but I decided to hold out for mystery time.
I would order from The Berrics/The Canteen again, however, I do hope they improve their transparency/communication on when an item is to be shipped/delivered. I felt massive uneasiness/anxiety with the radio silence. I really like the quality and the price point though and in the end it was worth the wait."
