looking for places to check out in Loveland!
Cruise through to take a short walk at Lake Loveland, stroll a little downtown, drive up the Big Thompson canyon (34), maybe a short walk at Devil’s Backbone (but not in the middle of the day if it’s hot).
Non-local question
How is that giant lake (not sure of the name--it is west of downtown and on the north side of HWY 34) a private lake? Did the homeowners around it have it dug and filled? Do public funds help with upkeep? I'm from the South so the concept is kind of anomalous to me. Where I'm…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Seven Lakes Park is a beautiful area with a nice playground and open spaces for relaxation and recreation. However, visitors frequently express frustration with limited public access due to 'no trespassing' signs and inconsistent facility hours, particularly for bathrooms. The park's restricted operating days (Fri-Sun) also impact accessibility.
"Beautiful park. Unfortunately you can't enjoy it because if you try to take a walk down the paths you'll run into no trespassing signs in every direction. Apparently they think only the wealthy residents of the neighborhood should be allowed to appreciate the beauty around these lakes and the fresh air. Totally crazy for a huge "public" park to have so many restricted areas."

"We took our toddler here to burn off some energy and play, and we loved everything about this park. The playground is actually for kids a little older, but my toddler was able to play a lot still, and he had a lot of fun here. It's a great place to be outside and relax, too. The bathrooms were very clean. However, they have limited hours and are only open on Fri-Sun. We liked this park so much that we came back for a second time. I wish we had a park like this back home in Florida. And it never gets crowded (it's quiet, in fact). There is plenty of space to picnic, too. Highly recommend."

"Nestled in a quiet neighborhood this playground was really nice. They had a shelter nearby that we had a picnic in, but I will say birds had created a nest in the middle so the safest table from rain was filled with bird poo. But we survived the rain. But my boys had so much fun at this playground. There was a lot to do for them, and they were sad to leave it."
