"A little urban park in Lowell. It's an improvement from what this spot looked like when I was a kid. It now has great views of the canal and is dedicated to Jack Kerouac. They have some monuments to Mr. Kerouac.
It is nice as you can walk along here and connect through the college and the old Hilton hotel and avoid walking on the side of busy downtown roads. It may connect to more paths as well. But it was raining last I was here and I did not get too far."

"Very small public area with some benches, historical granite markers and cement corn hole things. We took a few pictures and left right away due to shady characters in the park. No playground. No restroom."
Becky C.
"Fascinating tribute to a leader of the Beat Generation. Creative work by Houston Sculptor Ben Woitena. Site open 24-7, but was not well maintained."

Despite this, it remains a significant spot for literary enthusiasts and those interested in American cultural history.
