"We were looking for beautiful views and this trail delivers! The first 1.2 mi is definitely steep switchbacks w loose rocky footing. But the reward is that above that the views are amazing. Well try the longer loop next time. I was glad to have my hiking poles for the descent."

"Challenging but rewarding trail. Specially beautiful in late spring with wildflower bloom!
Trails starts at roadside parking lot ( no fee , no restroom) , first 0.5 through tree canopy - opens up to beautiful meadow and great views. 1.5mile in and about the highest point of the hike , the trail bifurcates into ‘ discovery loop’ and ‘cherry orchard loop’. Rocky ta rail, loose rocks and obsidian formation along the way. Can be pretty windy."

"I'm really happy with this trail drove 3 hours got there at 8 am, got done, and 12 pm. felt so good to get outside again. We went all the way around and the discovery trail, and it was a good 7-mile hike.
