"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — A Must-See Natural Wonder on Mackinac Island
Arch Rock is one of the most iconic and breathtaking sights on Mackinac Island. This massive natural limestone arch rises about 150 feet above Lake Huron, offering absolutely stunning views of the shoreline, water, and surrounding forest.
The formation itself is incredible — shaped naturally over thousands of years — and it's hard not to be amazed by its size and how perfectly it's framed by the scenery. It’s especially beautiful in the early morning or late afternoon when the light filters through the trees and the water glows beneath.
You can reach it easily by bike, horse-drawn carriage, or a scenic hike. The viewing platform is well-maintained and provides spectacular photo opportunities. There's also historical signage explaining the geology and Native American legends connected to the site.
Whether you’re into nature, photography, or just taking in amazing views, Arch Rock is an absolute must-visit. It’s one of the highlights of Mackinac Island — beautiful, peaceful, and unforgettable."

"Arch rock is so awesome, definitely make sure you see it if you are on Mackinac! The arch itself is so pretty, and there’s an overlook that is a tiny bit t higher up above the arch that’s perfect for pictures! Do the staircase up if you can, it’s about 10 minutes (if that) up a steep stair case but the views through the trees are so pretty, plus there’s a good amount of chipmunks on the way!"

"Beautiful, interesting rock formation with gray history! Definitely worth the walk up the steps or take a horse & buggy tour - it is one of the stops! Beautiful views of the lake & surrounding foliage! The nature info center is new & holds lots of great info about the rock & island!"
