Decent places to fish?
Just getting back into fishing. I head out to holliday lake frequently but where are some decent places to fish from land? Downtown or close to downtown gets bonus Internet points.

Great spots for photos, especially around the train trestle and river. :camerawithflash:

Places to go swim/tan in LYH?
i (20f) moved here from richmond last year and other than the struggle to find friends i have also struggled to find myself a discreet little spot on the river to read/smoke/tan/whatever! being from richmond i’m definitely used to being able to just walk down to belle…

"Nice, flat paved trail with downtown trailhead/parking and another parking access area in Amherst County. I’ve been walking, running, and biking here over 25 years, since my children were babies/toddlers. The trail is just under three miles and shaded much of the way, so even my elementary and preschool aged children could bike it. I’d pack snacks/drinks in the bike trailer along with the baby and we’d have a little picnic at the other end before the return trip. We always enjoyed seeing wildlife… deer, rabbits, squirrels, and even the occasional snake! I saw this beautiful buck this morning. Today my youngest child, now a grown woman, still loves to run here. A family favorite, where we and you too can make wonderful memories!"

"This really is the picture. I'm from out of town and lynchburg, local took me there as a random entertainment hanging out just walk and talk, and it was great.. It was such a beautiful location. The entire trail looked like a movie set.... One of my favorite places I visited in lynchburg, so far,."
