What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Malibu Lagoon State Beach for its stunning natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and excellent surfing conditions. The peaceful atmosphere and scenic gardens are also frequently highlighted. However, some find the parking expensive and the walk to the beach lengthy, with occasional debris on the sand.
"Nice lagoon, probably nicer to visit in Summer (for the plants/flowers,was there in December). Cheap parking with 1$/h.
A lot of birds and hermit crabs! Worth a stop."

"Expensive parking. Difficult to get in busy seasons. A moderately long walk to the beach. Sand has a lot of wood debris. Best to walk with shoes. Beautiful ocean but, unlike the Carolina beaches, there are large rocks in the water. Riding the waves could mean a bump on the head. LOL Bigger waves allow surfers some options. All in all, loved Malibu Beach."

"We love Malibu! This was our first visit in a long time but we were in town and wanted to enjoy the sun. We were lucky to get a parking spot on the street right away. There was also paid parking for $15. The lot was full but seemed like a lot of in and out but once on the beach we were able to
find a nice spot. Be forewarned there are no bathrooms but there is a Jack in the Box across the street. Also if you get a chance the Malibu pier is near by so check it out."
