Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Henry Hill Visitor Center for its engaging exhibits, particularly the 3D battle map and informative film. The knowledgeable and passionate park rangers lead highly recommended tours that bring history to life. While parking can be challenging on Saturdays, the clean, shaded trails and historical significance of the battlefield make it a worthwhile visit for all.

"Great place to run and hike. It gets packed in the parking lot on Saturdays so arrive early. The gate is normally open by 7:15 am. Visitor center has a water fountain inside & you can get a map from friendly staff that works there. I believe the workers don't arrive until 9 am. There are lots of areas inside the woods that are really nicely covered so you can get lots of shade on hot days. Lots of cool historic battle stuff & buildings everywhere, like canons and historic graves and history stories. For trail running the terrain is nice and not too difficult but there are some rough hills that force you to walk. Great for training or just to relax and enjoy the great outdoors. Very clean!"

"Today I was fortunate enough to spend the day on the grounds of the Manassas Battlefield National Park. The tour started at the Henry Hill visitors center where I met the most exceptional tour guide I’ve ever experienced (Gregory Wolf). He took us through the areas of significance from the start to the end of the first battle of Manassas. Gregory’s storytelling ability and extensive knowledge made this tour so entertaining and informative, he truly is a passionate historian. Gregory was able to answer extensive and in depth questions without hesitation. If you have the opportunity to visit the National Park do not hesitate, there is a great amount of U.S history within the grounds. Be sure to request Gregory to guide you and you will not be disappointed."

"The museum is very nice inside. The rangers are very kind and can answer most of your questions. The movie was very informative and helped with understanding how the 2 battles fought here took place. The also have a junior ranger program to help children learn about the battle here as well. We enjoyed walking the grounds even in the snow and learning about what took place here"
