What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Palmetto Trail for its beautiful scenery and opportunities for nature observation, including bird watching and wildlife spotting. However, some sections are noted for being closed or under repair, which can shorten the intended experience. The presence of spiders is also mentioned as a potential concern for some.
"Beautiful place with lovely scenery. Short trail that allows you to see some really pretty sights. Great place to go bird watching and looking at alligators up close. Definitely wouldn't bring dogs on the trail. Only downside is the trail is cut short as many of the extra trails are broken and blocked off making this trail just a short walk. However if you are going to see beautiful nature you can easily burn 2-3 hours just sitting around looking at the nature around you. I don't have any pictures but there are alot of owls in the area that I was shown pictures of."

"Nice trail but unfortunately it second half is closed off and according to a local we met on the trail it has been under repair for 2-3 years."

"Very nice trail, easy run. Note that there are some soft boards on the boardwalks. Stroller friendly. If it's closed off know there's a reason why."
