Beat the Crowds: Timing is Key

For the best experience at Brundage Mountain Resort, aim for weekdays, especially in early January before the peak season hits. Avoid weekends and holidays to minimize lift lines and enjoy more of the mountain. Consider visiting during the shoulder seasons for fewer crowds and potentially better deals.

Indy Pass Perks & Planning

If you have an Indy Pass, Brundage Mountain is a fantastic option for powder skiing! Early January can be hit or miss for natural snow, so check conditions before you go. While Tamarack is nearby, Brundage is praised for its lack of lift lines, making it a great choice for maximizing your ski time.Reddit

My favorite picture from my best powder day last year. Hidden Valley at Brundage Mountain, McCall, Idaho.

Love Brundage! Learned to ski here and no other place like it. Nothing like a mid-week powder day and still getting fresh tracks all over the mountain in the afternoon.

Cat skiing at Brundage?

A buddy invited me to a two-day cat skiing session in February at Brundage. Has anyone been to Brundage? All their [promo videos](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cR38dX9WYqQ) make it look like short-pitch, low-angle powder skiing with my mom. Do they hit any interesting zones?

"Visited The resort for the Free Summer concert series. Loved the layout. There’s a cafe style restaurant there. It was packed with people. The music was fun. Bring your own chairs. No outside coolers allowed. Well behaved dogs welcomed."

"Great mountain and highly recommend. Hidden Valley slogan is "No guts no glory!" and it's a warranted statement. Medium size mountain as far as out west goes but it's greatest asset is the lack of lift lines."

Ski review:
Brundage is attempting to take first place favorite mountain for me. We skied on a Monday second weekend of December. There was no one here. Never waited for even a second in a lift line. I loved every blue and green run I did (my husband is the skier, he loooooved the blacks and the trees and the expert terrain in Hidden Valley). It continuously lightly snowed all day so I got some experience in a little powder as well. Magical, majestic views all day. Gosh it was just the perfect day.

Lodge review:
Hard to hang out, which I tried to do for the first two hours while my husband got a few in by himself. I ended up sitting in the corner of Smoky’s but felt guilty for not ordering, but my waitress was very sweet she kept checking on me but not kicking me out or telling me I needed to buy food. I read my book until I actually got food, which I’ll leave the review for over on Smoky’s!"
