"I requested, on-line, a private tour for eight of us several weeks before we went to McCall. I got an email reminder the day before our appt.
Walt gave us an excellent tour, including lots of interesting history of the area and the historical site. The Fire Warden’s House, both outside and inside, is amazing. The house, on the National Register of Historic Places, was beautifully built, filled with authentic pieces, and walking through it took us back in time (1937).
A visit, especially with a guide so you can fully appreciate the history and workmanship of the buildings, is highly recommended . We each gave a donation to help with the volunteers’ ongoing work."

"We had so much fun here! We stopped by on a whim and enjoyed an incredible tour of the old Fire Warden’s home. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was very cool looking at the old house. All the furniture was either original or a replica, and the craftsmanship was stunning."

"Amazing how structures were built. Held together with design techniques, not nails. Considering how old the buildings are, this is rare. Beautiful inside. Interesting history of area. Lots of history of families. Very informative tour guide,"
