Reviews Summary

Langley Oaks Park is a beloved 'hidden gem' praised for its serene woodland trails and engaging creek beds, especially for children. While its secluded nature and less obvious entrance add to its charm, visitors note that winter conditions can make trails difficult to navigate and mention that hunting is permitted during certain months. Reddit+2

"Actual entrance: between houses 748/750 Ridge road McLean.
We have found the entrance to this hidden gem and it’s around the corner from where the address indicates. My kids have thoroughly loved these trails and the walk up and down through the creek bed. It’s filled with toads, minnows, and beautiful views."

Amy Bennett

"This park seems barren and unusable once the leaves fall in November. County hunters are permitted to hunt from mid-Sept into Feb and the signs advise you to stay on the trail, however the trails are completely hidden under the leaves with no visible markers to safely use the park, especially with kids. Creek beds were dry (as many are in this area sometimes). We turned back and went to Pimmet Run Stream Valley Park and that was more fun for us this time of year. I hope we can try this one again in the spring."

Lindsay Wieker

"Beautiful park when we visited in late spring, quiet with creeks full of fun critters for the kids. Still can hear dogs barking from nearby houses and planes from Reagan, but very “woods” feeling for so close to DC. Actual entrance is 750 Ridge Dr. (See photo)."

However, the leaf cover can make these trails difficult to discern, posing a challenge for navigation, particularly for families with children.
