What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Discovery Meadows Park as a fantastic, free community resource with diverse play areas for all ages. Families rave about the extensive playground, splash pad, and ample green space, making it ideal for a fun-filled day out. Some minor drawbacks include the seasonal nature of the splash pad and the slippery conditions in the sandpit.
"This was a super great family park in McMinnville. I'd never been. Came here for a family members birthday party. Best choice ever. The kids had a blast. There are so many great play structures. Lots of benches and picnic tables. Baseball fields. Adequate parking lot. Public restrooms available."

"This is one if the coolest free city parks ever! There are a few different areas of the playground with a really tall play structure for older kids, and small play structures for littlest kids. There’s also a climbing wall, zip line kinda thing, and a really big sand lot with a volcano-kinda thing in the middle that is deceptively difficult to walk up because the sand makes it slippery! PLUS there’s a splash pad water fountain wet area! That part is not open year round. I mean it’s open, but the fountains aren’t running in the winter. All this is surrounded by covered picnic tables, very large grassy areas, walking paths covered by trees. Car parking. Bicycle parking. Clean bathrooms. Friendly clientele. We entered from the east side of the park where there is pedestrian access. On the west side of the park near the vehicle entrance, there is a skate park! And 4 half basketball courts, plus a boulder, I guess for bouldering.
If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!"

"Our first time there today, we had a blast and so did the kids. 🤣 Excited to go back again soon!
Sand dune, big and little kid playground and swings away from the "teen hang out" basketball court and skate park. Plenty of seating, space and shade. Bonus there is a bathroom. Great for all ages! Don't forget to bring a Frisbee!"
