"This review is for the taproom. The service I received was not friendly.
It wasn't rude.It was just apathetic. I did not feel welcome. A tap room is supposed to have an atmosphere. To show the inspiration or the same passion that the beer makers have for their beer. This tap room does not reflect any inspiration or warmth. The woman behind the counter reflects that apathy. Heater Allen and Gold Dot have excellent german style beers, but many of us drive well over an hour, hoping to experience that same great beer mentality at their tap room to only be sadly disappointed."

"We recently visited Heater Allen in McMinnville for their Oktoberfest with six family members, excited to support a local spot that calls itself “kid friendly.” Unfortunately, the way we were treated made us feel anything but welcome.

Our 3-year-old was playing with the toy bin they provide for kids inside, while we were mainly gathered outside. Like any toddler, he made a mess, but I was mindful of it and cleaned up after him when asked. About 15–20 minutes later, I noticed the entire toy bin had been removed. When I asked the staff member (manager?) why, her response was curt and dismissive—essentially saying she was tired of cleaning up after kids. She even said she “had kids too,” but the tone felt more like scolding than understanding.

I explained that we come to places like this because they advertise themselves as family-friendly. Instead of hospitality, we were made to feel like a burden, as though children weren’t actually welcome. The worst part was overhearing her continue to talk about us to others while we were still there. That crossed the line from unprofessional to just plain rude.

We ended up leaving and taking our business elsewhere. For parents constantly searching for places to enjoy a beer while their kids have space to play, I can confidently say Heater Allen is not it. If you don’t want children there, don’t advertise as kid-friendly—it’s misleading and creates an experience that feels hostile for families."

"Fabulous beer! Don’t expect a fancy tasting room, this is bare bones but the beer is phenomenal and I am a huge fan. My wife and I stopped in to have a beer and check it out because I am a fan but had never been in. We ended up having one of the best dates just sitting at the table playing one of the games they have available and laughing like two little kids.. It was definitely a highlight of our trip and you should try the beers."
