Guests consistently praise the hotel's unique, artistic charm and its fantastic downtown McMinnville location, perfect for exploring wine country. While some rooms are small and many have shared bathrooms, the eclectic decor, friendly staff, and vibrant atmosphere, especially the rooftop bar, make it a memorable stay for those seeking character over modern luxury.
"Very unique, charming, old hotel. If you're looking for a fancy 5 star you probably won't like this. I enjoyed how different it was. Clean, staff was great, multiple bars and restaurants to go to and you could spend half a day just walking around looking at the artwork on all of the floors. We were fortunate to be there at the end of October so they had the basement pub decorate and it was great. I would love to try another establishment somewhere else. Loved the area the hotel was in as well."

"What a beautiful place. We had lunch on the rooftop and the wait staff didn't miss a Beat. They're drink menu is phenomenal the food menu was perfect for a lunch in the afternoon on the roof. This particular organization can do no wrong in my eyes as far as providing great food and drink for people all over the state of Oregon. That's why we always go to McMenamins in Bend where we live. If you're looking for a great time with your friends and family or you have a business luncheon or dinner this is the place to go. McMenamins keep doing a phenomenal job I'm so proud of you as a resident here in Oregon."

"Location was great. We were able to walk to lots of places to get wine or food.
There is free parking two blocks away at a nearby parking deck.
The theme is eclectic and really gives “Haunted Mansion” vibes. Our room had its own bathroom, but was much smaller than I was expecting. We made do.
It is a very old building so clearly nothing will “look” super clean, but after our first night in the room I had bites all over my legs. I assume either fleas or bed bugs.
We won’t be staying there again if we come back to the area."
