Reviews Summary

Pico Mountain Vermont is praised for its friendly atmosphere, excellent value, and less crowded slopes compared to larger resorts. Visitors highlight its suitability for beginners and enjoyable tree skiing, though some note less signage than at Killington. It's considered a great local gem offering a quality mountain experience.

"I was very hesitant to come here as a beginner because when I looked online, I saw there was no magic carpet. This made me nervous since as a beginner, that’s all I felt comfortable on. The Bonanza 1 & 2 and GLM trails are very similar to a magic carpet at other resorts and are great for beginners! I did those trails several times and felt more comfortable. What really made my experience the best was taking a lesson with Kurt. He’s a wonderful teacher! Super knowledgeable, kind, and very understanding! I went from not being able to complete simple green trails to doing blue trails in just a couple hours! I could not believe how much I accomplished in that lesson! My boyfriend was blown away by how much I improved in just 2 hours! I’m so happy and much more of a confident skier thanks to him! Take a lesson with Kurt you won’t regret it! I’m sure all of the instructors are great as well. They all seemed very knowledgeable. Thank you Kurt for helping me improve my skills tremendously!"

"Enjoyed skiing here. Went on a day right after a snow storm, and the conditions were great. The layout of this mountain is cool and the glades are fun to ski in. But killingtons trails are definitely marked a lot better. It seemed it there was less signage, but it didn't dull the experience at all. The food on the third floor of the main building was pretty good for a ski resort as well. This place is way less busy than killington even on the weekend, so it's a must stop if you are in the area."

"What a fun little ski mountain! We have skied Killington a number of times over the years but have never tried Pico until today. While it's not nearly as big as Killington, we had a great time here none the less. We loved the terrain off of the Summit Express chair. The tree skiing is very good and underrated as well. We will definitely return to Pico again, and we'd highly recommend working in a day here on a longer Killington based trip."
