"We went to Mesa amphitheater last night to see the Dwight Yoakam concert and it was very disappointing that they ran out of beer before even the first band was over by the time Dwight Yoakam started they were out of every alcohol!! we’re not heavy drinkers but we wanted to have a couple drinks last night and enjoy the show and was horrible that this venue does not order enough alcohol for their guest. We will never be going there again."
Timothy Contreras
"This is actually one of the better music venues, in my opinion! Food and drink aren't as expensive here as other places. You can sit pretty much anywhere and get a good view of the stage, and the music always sounds great. Staff does their job diligently, and they have a parking lot right across the street (be advised they charge $10 cash for parking)."

For Different Travelers
Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider arriving early to get a good spot on the lawn where children have space to play or sit comfortably. Bringing a blanket is a must for family comfort. While food and drinks are available, be mindful of potential alcohol shortages if that's a concern for your group. The generally good sound quality ensures everyone can enjoy the performance.
💰 Budget Travelers
To maximize savings, consider attending shows with less popular artists, as these might have lower ticket prices and fewer crowds. Bringing your own water bottle (if permitted) can also cut down on beverage costs. Exploring nearby dining options before the show can also be a more economical choice than relying solely on venue concessions.
couples
Consider arriving early to snag a prime spot on the lawn, perhaps with a blanket, to enjoy the sunset and the start of the show. You can make a full evening of it by exploring the local dining scene beforehand, with options like Republica Empanada Restaurant being a popular choice. The good sound quality ensures a great listening experience for both of you.

The Mesa Amphitheatre Experience: More Than Just Music
Beyond the music, attendees often praise the venue's staff for being efficient and friendly, contributing to a smooth overall experience. The sound quality is consistently rated as very good, ensuring that every note reaches the audience clearly. While parking is available, it comes with a fee, and it's wise to have cash on hand.
For those looking to make a full evening of it, the surrounding area offers a good selection of restaurants, with suggestions ranging from empanadas to Indian cuisine, providing ample opportunities to dine before or after the show. However, a recurring point of feedback is the potential for long entry lines and, for some events, the unfortunate depletion of alcohol supplies before the headliner even takes the stage.
Navigating Entry and Amenities
Once inside, the venue is generally well-maintained. Restrooms are accessible with minimal wait times, which is a significant plus for any concert venue. The food and drink situation is a mixed bag. While prices are considered reasonable, there have been instances where alcohol ran out before the end of the show, a point of disappointment for some attendees. Therefore, if you plan on enjoying alcoholic beverages, it's best to purchase them early in the evening.
For those who prefer to sit comfortably on the lawn, bringing a blanket or a low-back chair is a common practice that enhances the experience. This allows for maximum enjoyment of the open-air atmosphere.
