"One of our favorite places in the city!
My wife and I come to this park frequently to ride our bikes, walk along the beach, and simply enjoy nature. In the morning, the water is crystal clear — it’s truly beautiful. There are several great restaurants nearby where you can grab a delicious breakfast after your walk or ride.
The park is extremely safe, with plenty of lifeguards and police officers around. It really gives you peace of mind, especially if you’re visiting with family. There’s also a bike rental station right by the entrance, which makes it super convenient if you don’t bring your own.
We love how clean and well-maintained everything is. It’s the perfect spot to relax, exercise, or spend quality time outdoors. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone who enjoys the beach and a peaceful atmosphere."

While direct park parking for these activities might be limited, there are numerous public parking garages and lots nearby on streets like Collins Avenue and Washington Avenue, making it convenient to access. "This park is situated between the beach and Ocean Drive, allowing you to experience everything during your stroll: by day, you can enjoy the beach and wander through the park, while at night, you can take a charming walk along Ocean Drive, which is beautifully illuminated by the lights of hotels and restaurants. To truly appreciate the lights, it's best to stroll along the park's sidewalk rather than in front of the bars and restaurants. We discovered that the primary purpose of Lummus Park was to extend the beach further from the town to help prevent flooding. It features a lovely green space with walking paths and benches."
