What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Zoo Miami for its vast collection of animals, well-maintained exhibits, and unique interactive experiences like giraffe feeding and the underwater alligator tunnel. The zoo's size is a double-edged sword, offering much to explore but requiring significant walking, making rentals like bikes or scooters highly recommended. While some enclosures may be empty, the commitment to conservation and the overall engaging atmosphere make it a highly recommended destination for families and animal lovers.
"The Miami Zoo was an amazing experience! There’s so much to see and the zoo itself is pretty big, so plan for a lot of walking. If you’re not a fan of walking, I’d highly recommend renting a bike or one of the animal scooters — it makes exploring way more fun and easier. Going early in the morning is the best time to beat the heat and enjoy the animals when they’re most active. Definitely worth the price — a great day for families, couples, or anyone who loves wildlife!"

"This was the best zoo we've ever been to!
We were able to see a plethora of different animals, many of which are endangered or critically endangered.
They had lots of cool shows and presentations with the zookeepers and animals and also offer many other amenities.
I definitely recommend renting the safari cycle, there is a lot of ground to cover, especially on a hot day it makes for a better experience.
We loved the photo option upon entry and the misting stations 😂 it was very hot but it is August so that's to be expected.
The food was delicious.
The zoo and animals are very well maintained and cared for.
All around an amazing experience!
20/10 would recommend!"

"My daughter and I had our first visit recently and were really impressed. We went on Friday (Sept. 5), it was forcing to rain, and there was barely anyone there. We saw just about every animal and even discovered some we have never heard of! We got to get up close and personal with a magestic owl and learn all about him, and feed the parrots while one rode around on my daughter's head. The animals were great, and the staff was notably fantastic. I wanted to take a moment to compliment the young man working at the oasis. Be was so helpful, courteous and committed to his job. He even helped scare some birds off when they crowded around. It was nice to see the youth working hard."
