What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Midland Area Farmers Market for its wide variety of vendors, fresh produce, and lively atmosphere enhanced by live music. It's seen as a great community hub and a nostalgic experience for many. However, some reviews express concern about the authenticity of 'organic' claims from certain vendors.
"This is a very busy market with a wide variety of vendors. The reason I gave it 3 stars is that it really needs to have more TRULY ORGANIC farmers. At least two of the 'certified' organic farmers at that market have food that is grown right next to gmo corn fields. How can the food really be organic? One of these farmers has a farm right next to several extremely large industrial plants that have been known to pollute the ground water with cadmium and other dangerous contaminants. The only good organic farmer there is Good Shepherd Family Farm with the baked breads (not the other one with the similar name! dont get them confused!)."

"Moved back to Michigan from Florida after almost 40 years. This Farmers Market is what I remember doing years ago in Bay City with my mother. So great to have this in Midland. So many vendors to look at, was a great time going with my niece and nephew. I know they do Saturday and Wednesday, such a great way for getting local produce plus."
