"HOLD THE RAILING WHEN ENTERING THE WATER. The first few of the zero-depth portions of the pool are very slick because they are tile.
We had a great time. This pool is large and nice. We really appreciated the zero-depth entry for the kids. The pool is surrounded by beautiful greenery, flowers, and native plants."

"Truly one of the best swims I've had in months! Amazing fresh water pool with lap lines for swimming. Lots of space to spread out and lay down a blanket. I went around 1pm on a hot Thursday and the pool wasn't crowded at all.
Would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting a workout, families with young kids, or just someone looking to lounge in the beautiful Minneapolis summer."

"I was in town for a couple days, looking for a place to swim laps. I feel really lucky that I found this pool. For others looking to swim laps, here are some things to note:
* It's free
* I'm not sure the distance of the pool, but it seems about 25 yards, maybe a little less.
* The water isn't clear, it's a bit dark / green from how the pool is more natural. This is fine, but FYI.
* Flip turns can be tough because it's hard to see the wall (the bottom of the pool has a lane stripe but it's obscured / faded, and the wall has no marking). So you may need to just do a non-fip-turn or get a feel for it at first.
* Bring your own lock for the lockers, or just put your stuff near the pool, as others seem to do.
* I was there at 6pm on two weekend days, and both times had no problem getting a lane to myself.
* There are lots of guards and a happy crowd of families. The vibe is very collegial and welcoming.
* There are some rules about not wearing cotton or bringing in bottles etc. Just be aware.
* There is no changing area, just a bathroom and then more of an open area for drying off and rinsing with a shower.
* Lots of good bike lanes leading to it, and ample parking on-street or in the nearby lot.
Enjoy!"

The Magic of Biofiltration
The process involves a gentle circulation system, often using a bubble pump, that draws water through the planted regeneration zone. The plants absorb nutrients and contaminants, while beneficial microorganisms in the gravel break down waste. This creates a balanced ecosystem that keeps the water clean and clear, albeit with a natural greenish tint that some visitors find beautiful.
This chemical-free approach not only benefits swimmers sensitive to chlorine but also reduces maintenance issues and offline days compared to traditional pools. It's a testament to sustainable design, offering a refreshing and environmentally conscious swimming experience.
Lap Swimming at Webber Pool
However, swimmers looking for perfect flip turns might find it a bit challenging. The natural water clarity, while pleasant for a natural pool, can obscure the lane lines and the pool wall markings. This means you might need to adjust your technique or get a feel for the wall before executing precise turns.
Despite this minor adjustment, the experience of swimming laps in such a natural and welcoming environment is highly rewarding. Many visitors report having no trouble finding a lane to themselves, even on weekend evenings, contributing to a relaxed and enjoyable fitness session.
