What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Roosevelt Park Zoo to be a charming and well-maintained local attraction, especially for families. While not the largest, its unique animals like the okapi and interactive experiences like giraffe feeding are highly praised. Ongoing construction promises even more exciting additions in the future.
"It's not a really big zoo, but they have all types of wild animals that we learned about as kids, like lions, tigers, bears, giraffes, etc. 🦁🐅🐻🦒
It's an excellent place to take your kids for an introduction to animals. They have a few birds as well. 🐦
The real surprise was the okapi. I have been to many zoos in different countries, and this one was a real surprise. That's not a common animal in zoos. 😲
It was under construction when I visited, but it was still maintained well. The staff was polite, and the ambience was nice. 😊
I will recommend it to anyone who visits Minot. I hope to visit it again once the construction is finished and they have the new addition, a camel 🐪. 👍"

"The Roosevelt Park Zoo has always been one of our favorite places to walk and spend time together. Unfortunately, during our recent visit, half of the zoo was closed due to construction of new spaces.
Even so, we enjoyed our time there as always—the atmosphere is peaceful, the animals we saw were well cared for, and it’s a great place for families. We’re excited to come back once the new areas are finished—it will definitely make the zoo even better!
✨ Still one of Minot’s gems for a family day out."
