Reviews Summary

Park Avenue Viewpoint is lauded for its breathtaking, skyscraper-like sandstone fins and stunning panoramic views, especially during sunrise and sunset. Visitors appreciate its accessibility and the option to hike into the canyon for a more immersive experience. Some note the limited parking and lack of restrooms as minor drawbacks.

"The parking lot is located on the north side of Arches National Park Road. Follow the Park Avenue Trail for approximately 400 feet to the actual viewpoint. Here you will find several interpretive displays, which will provide you with more information about this area. For the more adventurous, you can continue the trail, which is 1.8 miles out-and-back. There are no restroom facilities near this viewpoint. This is an easy walk, and you will be rewarded with stunning views of the towering sandstone fins, resembling skyscrapers, stretching towards the sky. Afterall, this area namesake is for the iconic New York City boulevard, but far more breathtaking and without the noise and chaos of the city."

"The Park Avenue Viewpoint was our first stop after the visitor center. The viewpoint near the parking lot offers stunning views of the towering rock formations and is very accessible. We hiked the trail from the parking lot down into the canyon that really gave you a sense of the enormity of these red rock formations. A must stop along the scenic drive. The parking lot is limited and if you don't see this viewpoint on the way be sure to stop in as you will pass it again on the way out."
