Visitors appreciate its accessibility and the option to hike into the canyon for a more immersive experience. Some note the limited parking and lack of restrooms as minor drawbacks.
"The parking lot is located on the north side of Arches National Park Road. Follow the Park Avenue Trail for approximately 400 feet to the actual viewpoint. Here you will find several interpretive displays, which will provide you with more information about this area. For the more adventurous, you can continue the trail, which is 1.8 miles out-and-back. There are no restroom facilities near this viewpoint. This is an easy walk, and you will be rewarded with stunning views of the towering sandstone fins, resembling skyscrapers, stretching towards the sky. Afterall, this area namesake is for the iconic New York City boulevard, but far more breathtaking and without the noise and chaos of the city."

"The Park Avenue Viewpoint was our first stop after the visitor center. The viewpoint near the parking lot offers stunning views of the towering rock formations and is very accessible. We hiked the trail from the parking lot down into the canyon that really gave you a sense of the enormity of these red rock formations. A must stop along the scenic drive. The parking lot is limited and if you don't see this viewpoint on the way be sure to stop in as you will pass it again on the way out."

The main viewpoint, easily accessible from the parking lot, provides stunning panoramic vistas. However, for a truly immersive experience, the Park Avenue Trail beckons. This 1.8-mile out-and-back trail descends into the canyon, allowing you to walk among these magnificent formations. The trail is considered moderately difficult, with some elevation changes, but the reward is an unparalleled sense of scale and a deeper appreciation for the forces that shaped this landscape.
Visitors often describe the feeling of being dwarfed by the immense fins, a humbling experience that contrasts sharply with the bustling city it's named after. Navigating Arches National Park
Beyond Park Avenue, Arches National Park is home to over 2,000 natural sandstone arches, including the famous Delicate Arch. Exploring these requires navigating the park's scenic drive and various trailheads. Popular trails include the Windows Loop, Double Arch, and the more strenuous Delicate Arch Trail. It's advisable to plan your itinerary in advance, considering the time needed for each stop and potential wait times.
While the main Park Avenue viewpoint is easily accessible, the Park Avenue Trail offers a more adventurous experience. For those looking for less strenuous options, other viewpoints within the park, like those at Grand View Point in Canyonlands National Park (a nearby park), offer stunning vistas with minimal hiking.
