What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Alp and Dell for its extensive selection of Wisconsin cheeses, friendly and informative staff, and the opportunity to sample products. Many appreciate the availability of local meats and souvenirs, as well as the convenient shipping options. However, some note that the viewing area for cheese making can be steamy and not very informative, and parking can be limited.
"Wisconsin is famous for their cheese and Alp & Dell is supposed to be right in the heart of cheese country, but there's basically nowhere to get a tour of the cheese making process.
This place has a decent little store where you can try and buy a variety of cheeses and meats. There's also a viewing area where you can watch the cheese making process happen, but the windows are so steam covered that you can't really see anything that's going on in the factory and the descriptions on the walls aren't very good either.
So if you're looking for a cheese making tour, this is not your destination. If you're looking for a shop with lots of different cheese to buy, this one has a lot of variety."

"We stop by every time we come through town. They always greet us at the door and are full of information. There’s a lot of funky cheeses to try which me and my family are excited about being from the Midwest. But they do have samples daily so you can try new cheese. We always walk out with new cheeses every time we stop by. Definitely worth stopping in."
