"My family were members of this church since the 1880's, but we all moved out of town in the early 1980's. We wanted our 99 year old mother's funeral at the church, but since we were no longer members, they were not going to do our funeral! Through a retired UCC minister, they were convinced to help us, and the service was small (18?) but wonderful for us! If I lived in Monroe, I would still be a member there."
