"We have visited the Meadow Trail at South Cumberland State Park multiple times now in every season and it never disappoints. My kids love it, even my teenager! The moment you step onto the trail it feels magical. Last year’s story along the path was a hit and we were so excited to see a brand new one this year. The kids enjoy reading as we walk and keeping an eye out for wildlife. Spring is my favorite season to visit with the flowers in full bloom and butterflies everywhere. The trail is always clean, just one mile long, and easy for families with younger children. There is a park and facilities available, but we always come just for the trail. We also recommend stopping by the visitor center, it is definitely worth the visit. Truly a gem of a trail!"

"Hikes Fiery Gizzard to Ravens point this past weekend after the snow storm. Amazing hike. I particularly enjoyed how few human-made objects (e.g. bridges, signs, fences, stairs, etc…) there were. Gave me the feeling of being in a National Park.
The hike down Fiery Gizzard should not be underestimated. Hiking miles over each boulder field will test even the most seasoned hiker. The abundance of waterfalls along the way helps break up the hours spent in the gorge. And the view from Ravens point was the best lunch spot. Having the option to hike back on the Dog Hole Trail was a pleasant addition. High recommend this trail."

"Did the trail to the bottom of falls. Only 4/10 mile. The falls overlook platform provided a good picture opportunity only 1/10 mile from parking. The 3/10s down to the bottom of the falls was strenuous stepping from stone to stone most of the way. View of the pool, falls and semi circle of warn limestone falls face is peaceful and worth the effort."
