"Wheeler trailhead is by this reservoir. Beautiful trail! Went on a weekday so didn’t really encounter too many people. Sedans can make it to the parking lot even though it’s a bit rough about a mile before the parking due to road is not paved ."

"One of my favorite places to visit in Colorado. The fishing is great and the scenery is outstanding. Also around the backside of the reservoir is a really interesting bit of history. If you hike up a little ways you will see the Magnolia mill that used to take ore from the mines up in the mountains and process it. Also, a little known fact is that the reservoir was filled and covered the town of Montgomery. Beautiful place, you have to visit !"
