RV Parking
Hi guys, I'm going to be visiting Montgomery in a few weeks as I pass through on the way to NOLA, I aim on having a Chris' Hot Dog and seeing the Rosa Parks bus stop - however, I'm going to be in a 30ft RV. Where is the best nearby parking option? Thanks!
looking for trails and places where I can walk my dog
Does anyone know any trail or areas I can walk my dog in the Montgomery and wetumpka area?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Gunter Hill Campground offers a mixed bag, with the Catoma Loop praised for its full hookups and concrete pads, while the Antioch Loop provides a more rustic experience. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the campground's convenient location for exploring historic Montgomery and Selma. However, concerns about road conditions, overgrown sites, and significant poison ivy in some areas are frequently mentioned.
"Great campground. Catoma Loop is full hook ups with concrete pads. Antioch loop is more rustic with gravel pads and only electric and water. We stayed in Catoma Loop and saw no bad sites. All sites have nice wooded buffer areas between them that affords a bit of privacy. This campground is reasonably close to Montgomery and a great location to home out of for catching the numerous sights and historical places in Alabama's capitol."

"My experience at this campground:
I stayed at Antioch section. It looks pretty round down, but the bathrooms are fairly new. This is what the person at the gate told me. I did not check them out since I have a bathroom in my camper. The roads are terrible, and the grounds are not manicured or well kept. I would’ve not left a review if it wasn’t for what I experienced. I am highly allergic to poison ivy and I have never been to any campground or even a public park that had as much poison ivy as this camp ground. I looked everywhere I stepped, but it is Almost impossible to not step on it. I spent three nights, on the third night I started breaking out; by the time I got to my home from my 2 Hour drive I had poison ivy all over. If you are highly allergic to poison ivy, avoid this park. I did ride my bike several times to Katoma (the other section of the park) and that one looks much better, manicured and taken care of. Since the sites are concrete you do not have to worry about stepping all over the poison ivy to get inside of your camper, but I am not sure if that section also has it all around the woods and trails. I rode my bike in the streets of that section (did not go inside the camp sites to explore the surrounding area) be safe if you stay there!"

"We stayed 10 days in site 130. It is next to the shower/bath facilities, which are new and clean! We suffered a lot of rain, but good drainage on our site. We enjoyed Saturday night auto racing, right across the street. Perfect spot for base camp to visit historic Selma and Montgomery."
