Never been to Charlotte. How long should I reserve for the NASCAR museum as a diehard fan of 25 years? Can you schedule tours of race shops? Anything else to know in advance would be great. Thanks!

I skimmed Google maps and found a few like Kasey Kahne Racing, JR Motorsports, Penske, and Kyle Busch. I don't even know if that's all of them. I'm excited that so many racing headquarters are in one area. I feel like I'd want to book a vacation just to check them all out. Any…
Get a rental car, Charlotte isn't big enough to have good public transportation yet. HoF, team shops and trackhouse motorplex are high on the list of places to visit.
The gift shop has a great selection of exclusive JR Motorsports gear. Don't miss out!
The tour guides are very knowledgeable and interactive, enhancing the experience.
Also, any tips on where to go, what to avoid? There's so much I may not be able to go to everything. I can go multiple days so I have flexibility. Ideally it'd be cool to see some of the cars being worked on if possible. I do want to visit some of the smaller shops but some…

Visitors consistently praise JR Motorsports for its authentic behind-the-scenes garage access and knowledgeable, friendly staff. The guided tours are a highlight, offering an immersive look at race car preparation and Dale Jr.'s podcast studio. While the gift shop is well-stocked, the real draw is the chance to see the team in action.
"Awesome shop in one of the only ones I've been to where they've actually taking you on a tour of the floor. The guy was very knowledgeable and interactive. May not have as much of a display as some of the others but this one is one I would go back to again. To get a chance to actually see them working on the cars within an arm's length was an awesome experience. Love the studio setup for Dale Juniors podcast!"

"Dream came true today. We were able to go to JR Motorsports. We got to go into their garage and watch them put a motor into a car in under 5 minutes with ease. My husband bought tires, sheet metal, hats and so much more and has never been so happy. Thank you for being open on the 4th of July. You made some Kansas peeps very happy. Wish there had been some JUGS to pick up and wear back home 🧨🌟"

"This was a nice place. They have a small gift shop. There's a viewing area to look into the garage. A staff member took a great picture of Dale seniors car for me."
