Visitors also appreciate the opportunities for water activities and the picturesque sunset views.
"A Beautiful but Challenging Hike – Be Prepared!
This is a beautiful experience, but if it’s your first time, make sure to come prepared. The hike is about 3.5 miles round-trip to the waterfall and back. Bring plenty of water and some snacks—you’ll need the energy.
The trail isn’t easy. Expect a lot of inclines, narrow paths, creek crossings, small cliffs, rocky terrain, and fallen trees along the way. It can be a bit tough if you’re not used to hiking or uneven ground.
That said, the journey is worth it. Once you reach the waterfall, the view is stunning and makes all the effort worthwhile."

"Beautiful spot to put in a kayak or boat and enjoy the day. We kayaked to an island and shared lunch and it was wonderful! The water is gorgeous and we saw lots of herons, a water snake, and fish! Very kid friendly and houses a good sized campground."
Madison Taylor
"Unfortunately we were here in rainy weather but we did hike a couple of trails and they were well maintained and pretty clearly marked. I did a short hike on two moderately difficult trails and they were fine when it was dry but I felt that going back in the rain would be detrimental to my health as I would probably fall down on the slippery leaves and acorns. The campground and restrooms were also nice and well maintained but the sites are closer together than almost any park I have been to. I sit outside and see the camper next door. I look out the window and see a dozen or more campers down the road."
