"It is an easy trail near the sea shore with group cyprus trees standing to welcome you. It also has a skeleton of 🐋 whale. Some of the trees have saffron fungus that looks very different with a view of the sea up to the horizon. Good place for photography."

"Came for the tide pools and they did not disappoint. We visited Monterey Bay aquarium the day prior and learned about tide pools and what we would find, then came to this Marine Reserve to see them in action. Despite part of the beach being closed off for sea lion breeding and rearing, there was instructions on how to get to the tide pools. This place knows why people come and visit and plan appropriately. We got there about an hour prior to the end of low tide, and there was already a ton to see. Little crabs galore. Bigger crabs. Sea anemones closed up until the tide comes back in. Sea urchin carcasses. Muscles. Sea grass. Turkish towels. Bull kelp. Even a "wandering meatloaf". We stuck around a couple hours after the tide started to come back in, and watched as the anemones started to open back up once submerged. It was really fun to watch and just enjoy what was going on."
