What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the abundance of wildlife, particularly the numerous alligators and diverse bird species, making the free drive a highly recommended experience. While the drive is praised for its natural beauty and accessibility, some caution against leaving vehicles unattended due to the wild nature of the animals.
"Absolutely love this nature preserve! You see plenty of beautiful birds and lots of alligators. Today we saw about 25 to 30 gators. Other times we had visited we have seen up to 100! Everyone drives through and the cars go at a slow pace. You can pass them if you want or you can stop and get out to get a better look. The drive takes approximately two hours, and it is definitely worth it!"
Debbie Edwards
"Great for card and e-bike. Birds, alligators, eagles, bobcats, plus even MORE!"
Melissa Gilmore
"I can't believe that in a 10 minute drive from town you experience this amazing wilderness. Its like nothing I ever been too. If you never seen an alligator in the wild, you will here, for sure. I think it was about a 13 mile stretch of wilderness and at 10 miles per hour, it takes all afternoon to drive through but the whole family will be entertained. Definitely worth driving through."
