The Padilla Bay Shore Trail is one of my favorite places in Skagit County…especially on a sunny day, like today. ☀️☀️☀️ The 2.25 mile path is free from vehicle traffic, so it’s a relaxing walk or bike ride. 🚶🚴‍♂️ The Skagit River joins Samish Bay here, so there’s always lots of wildlife. Today we saw blue herons, geese, gulls, & hundreds of ducks. I’ve seen seals, eagles, yellow finches, & butterf...

"The view here is really beautiful in the morning and late afternoon. However, it's a pity that there's a bit noise when people walk because it's an gravel built road, but I'd like to recommend it because the surrounding scenery is great.
I took a morning walk with my dog in the morning and rode a bike in the afternoon."

"I love coming to the Padilla Bay Trailhead, especially when the snow geese are migrating. At times there are thousands of birds in the Skagit Valley. It's such a beautiful place to spend the day, and I encourage everyone to take their cameras! The only drawback is that the parking lot is very small. If you can, park up at the northern end of the trail."
