"Really isn't a lot to look at but it does sit on a prime spot to enjoy a Lake Superior sunrise if you can get there early enough. Was actually attempting to get to Au Train Point to do a little reminiscing back to when the kids were little (haven't been there in 10 years or so) however unfortunately the old road (CR 597) has been barricaded and there is no way to get there without using a boat. But all in all the ruins are kind of cool to look at as the structure is being reclaimed by nature. To make it most worthy of your time I'd suggest going early to watch a sunrise from the beach if the waether is permitting. There is also a campground on the premises and some picnic tables as well as benches."

"This was a cool place to stop. There are the ruins of an old blast furnace. Down by the shore of lake Superior, you can find iron ore and slab glass. There were sandy areas to enjoy walking along the beach. You can still make out the remains of the old dock that extended out hundreds of feet into the bay."

"The only thing that remains of a pig iron factory is part of the blast furnace. If you like old abandoned stuff, this is pretty cool. It's not far from the highway and is a couple of hundred feet from the parking lot. Takes ten to fifteen minutes to see."
