"If you have an extra day in the Munising area, Grand Island is a must. We took the ferry over and rented bikes to go around the island. It was a bit pricey, but the bikes allowed us a way to see the island at our own pace. We visited in early June and the bugs were heavy on the island so bring bug spray or dress accordingly. The beaches has smooth pebbles and sea glass which made for great stops between riding."
