What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Veterans Memorial Park Causeway is a place of remembrance with beautiful willow trees and informative plaques, appreciated for its accessibility on the south side. However, its location on a busy dual carriageway, potential for swampiness, and presence of geese are noted drawbacks.
"Strange place for a veterans park given that it is isolated in the centre of a dual carriageway with noisy traffic passing on either side. It is though a nice park with some lovely touches to remember all those that gave up their lives in service for their country. Despite the location and difficulty for pedestrian access there are a few little car parks in the park itself."

"It is a beautiful place. We spent time today cleaning overgrowth around placards honoring those who served. Some placards were completely covered in dirt and needed to be exposed. It would be great if some volunteer groups could do the same every three months or so. It would also be nice if the sidewalks could be cleaned periodically. These plaques mean a lot to the families of those who gave their life, limb, and sometimes their sanity so that we could all be free. I am so grateful to all who have served."
