What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find Trancas Crossing Park to be a small, pleasant spot for short walks and nature observation, particularly enjoying the wildflowers and butterflies on the Homestead Trail. However, challenges with parking, access to the river for water sports, and navigating potential obstacles on trails are frequently mentioned drawbacks.
"Previous review that I ignored was spot on. Water level would make this less than a pleasant paddle, I'm surprised this was a recommended paddle boarding launch.
No parking near the launch, unless you're handicapped (???!). Didn't bother attempting to launch from here since there was a naked couple having some fun on the beach, despite numerous yellow jacket warnings posted everywhere."

"Had to pull paddleboard through shallow areas and cross various dams"

"Nice park but if you come to kayak, for the “boat launch”, unload in the circular drop zone, repark your car back up and walk to your drop spot, then it is a bit of a walk on a paved path followed by a mini forest path down. I say “boat launch” since it really isn’t one, plus the path is blocked by a fallen tree, 2 trunks! I lugged my 42 pounder over one and under the other, having driven an hour to get here. Also pay attention to the tides: makes a big difference!"
