What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Naples Preserve as a charming, well-maintained 'hidden gem' offering a peaceful nature walk focused on gopher tortoises. Its free admission and accessible boardwalk make it a delightful stop for all, though parking can be limited and the proximity to busy streets is noted.
"First time visiting this park. Theres little parking, with an option to park along the street if lot is full. The place was very well kept, the lady who works there seemed very friendly with a huge smile on her face, and was hard at work in the back of the building, in a "garden/yard" outside, on a Sunday. Walk ways and area are very clean, very well kept too, and had descriptions of what you were seeing. There was even cute drawings and a little story to read as you walk along. Saw at least 5 gopher tortoises and a turtle 🐢 its a shame theres busy streets all around so the animals dont get much peace though. Was a fun little walk, not very long, but if you stop and look at things or sit at their many benches, its a nice little breath of fresh air, and can make it a 30 - 40 min outing. The tiki hut area they have is gorgeous as well, looks newly renovated or just in great condition, and a nice spot to sit and enjoy outdoors (even with cars whizzing by). Saw two tortoises together. Deff worth making a stop at!"

"Nice little gem in the middle of the city. Really enjoyed the short walk in nature. There were cute educational boards along the trail, mainly talking about tortoise. Luckily We did see one at the end of the trail. It was crawling towards us, then went back and hide in a burrow. Super cute. There were also lots of birds and interesting plants. Fun place to visit with limit time."
