It's highlighted as a clean, kid-friendly, and peaceful escape within the city, perfect for walks, picnics, and learning. Some mention occasional safety concerns due to individuals in certain areas, but overall, it's considered a valuable and enjoyable public space.
"We had a singing tour guide which gave us to history of Tennessee using the map. I enjoyed that experience. The only thing I didn't like is there was a guy on his phone underneath the train tracks where the picnic tables were yelling that somebody better bring him his money. That was scary to me. I'm sure that doesn't happen all the time. But I'm glad I was with a large group . There was a public public restroom welcome center right there to the left that was clean."

"This is a beautiful rectangular shaped green space with a trail and an amphitheater and some memorial stones and a WW2 memorial section. The vast views sweep from the Capitol atop a big green hill with connecting paved trails that you can explore. Trees planted for suicide survivors and various historical group have placards to tell the stories. The grounds are well kept and it’s not too crowded this Friday morning."
