The overwhelming sense of history, the solemn beauty of the grounds, and the powerful tribute to fallen soldiers leave a lasting impact. "Came here on a perfectly gloomy, drizzly day.
I have no idea where the parking lot is, so I just randomly parked and started walking.
The history here was so incredible to see. Seeing graves from soldiers of the revolutionary war was amazing to me.
Some graves so old the engravings have worn off with time.
Some of the graves are a bit more modern, but I enjoyed just seeing the history of people from the past. Just a neat place to stop in"

"This is a beautiful and serene place. There is such history here. The cemetery dates back to the mid 1700's, though the headstones only date back to late 1700's. It is one of the if not the oldest cemetery in Louisiana. It sits next to Holy Cross church, behind this church is a absolutely beautiful garden with crosses set up. The area is so peaceful and really very beautiful."
