Brazos Bend State Park is one of our favorite day trips from Houston! We almost always spot alligators, and so much other wildlife! We like the 40 acre lake trail - it’s about a mile loop trail around the lake that passes a dock, picnic tables, a playground and an observation tower! Perfect for a family! You can hike or bike the trails, and fishing is allowed. $7 per adult entry, kids 12 and u...

"This is one of many times I have visited this state park. I can say nothing but good things about it. We booked the shelter for this visit and they turned out to be a great idea especially with this unpredictable weather. Good point to transition if you are willing to camp primitive and for some reason cannot commit. The sowers and restroom were excellent. Hot water shower is a lifesaver. Don’t forget to walk the trails.
Children park is decent. Organized parking and enough signs for trails"

"This state park was such an adventure! We took our two kids (5 & 1) it felt safe and the rangers were very kind and also very informative of the park. The gift shop offers you to pet a baby alligator and snakes! We loved the trails and we definitely saw some gators! The tower was awesome! I highly recommend visiting!"

Trish Williams-Santana

"The park has so many trails with various views. Had a great time hiking. There were plenty of benches along the way to take breaks. The park staff was super friendly and always asked if we needed help with anything. We stayed in a covered shelter. It was clean and well maintained. Had a wonderful time, and we hope to go back soon."
