What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors fondly recall past experiences of touring the lighthouse, appreciating the challenging climb and rewarding views. While current access is limited due to storm damage, the lighthouse remains a picturesque landmark admired from afar. Many hope for its eventual reopening and restoration.
"Many years ago ( in a galaxy far, far away) , I brought my son to visit the inside of the lighthouse when the Coast Guard conducted tours. My son found the stairs challenging. He did like the view, as did I. When we walked away, my son looked back 🔙 and I think 🤔 he was amazed he actually made it to the top.
Air traffic 🎮 controllers waved to my son as we walked by.
I am thankful 🙏 for the memories this lighthouse brings when I look at it!
Update: September 2025; My daughter and I did a "sail by" on the Portsmouth Harbor Tour.
I hope it will reopen for tours again!"

"We didn’t get to see the lighthouse up close as the gates to the cost guard station was closed. We did no drive around the corner and steal a glance."
Madison Allred
"A beautiful white lighthouse, but unfortunately the road to it is closed. I had to admire it from above. You can watch a video about lighthouses on my website in the portfolio."
