What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning beauty of Bethel Spring Nature Preserve, particularly the impressive Lost Sink Falls, which is a rewarding sight after a challenging hike. While the trails are steep and rocky, many find the effort worthwhile for the natural splendor and refreshing experience. Parking can be a significant issue due to limited spots.
"Absolutely beautiful. We did the Carpenter Trail to Falling Sink Trail up to the waterfall and down through Mill Trail. The site says it is 1.3 miles but I definitely think it is longer than that.
The uphill track is pretty difficult but doable. Just be prepared and if you bring kids, be prepared to rest. It gets pretty steep, but again, doable. It is a gorgeous hike.
If you don't care about length, you might be able to get away with doing the Mill Trail straight up to the waterfall but it is a straight up shot so be ready.
The waterfall was beautiful and not weather dependent. It was nice and cold which is exactly what we wanted after hiking. Beautiful. 10/10 recommend."

"Moderately difficult hike with some good elevation. Decent workout. Trails are well marked. The waterfalls at the end of the trails are beautiful and much larger than they look in photos. We spent a few hours in the hammocks at the waterfalls in perfect weather. Overall we spent about 1-2 hours actually hiking and about 3 hours just enjoying the weather at the waterfalls. The trail head has an extremely limited number of parking spots so get there early. Great hike for those looking to get some cardio in with a rewarding view at the end."

"Gorgeous waterfall! Scary hike for littles but our trooper of a three year old made it! This is a moderate to difficult hike depending on your experience and it does go up a ways in elevation. If you take it slow, you’ll be fine going up. Going down: Be Careful! Especially if it’s rained recently (that’s the best time for the falls but the worst for your boots). Lots of rocks and steep drops near the trail we took (there’s two I believe).
Visited: 10am on Father’s Day"
