What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Aimé Leon Dore is lauded for its unique aesthetic, curated store experience, and highly desirable collaborations, particularly with Porsche and New Balance. However, visitors often encounter significant wait times and mixed reviews regarding customer service and product quality relative to price.
"Let me preface this review by saying, this is my favorite brand in SoHo. I had not visited this store since the remodel and I really like how they’ve changed the space.
There was a 2.5 hour wait when we got there! It was at least partially do to the Porsche collab drop that was happening. They had all the ALD Porsches from years past lined up on the street at the event. We were so lucky to get to see them while we were there.
If you are in NYC and looking for a truly unique boutique and a full SoHo experience, check this place out!"

"Dang this place is beautiful. Surprised and not surprised at the reviews that I read through. The company itself and the designer are very cool. We were really looking forward to visiting the store on our weekend in New York trip and it did not disappoint. I was inspired by all of their decor and pieces. Was it a little pretentious? yes. Did we have to wait about an hour to get in? Yes. The people that work there are not the most helpful but also we were happy to be left alone and just browse. The guy that rang us up was super cool. I wish I remembered his name. But anyway, he definitely finished off our experience on a high note. While we waited, we had a coffee and hung out outside At their cafe tables while the drizzle. Very New York experience through and through."

"Super Overhyped. Their quality isn’t the greatest yet their prices remain super high. The styles are cool but the quality definitely isn't worth the price and poor customer experience. They attempt to create a hype by doing a waiting list to get in the store making people wait up to 2hrs. Just to get inside to find basically an empty store and terrible service. For as long as we waited to get in I expected a warm and inviting greeting but instead the employees were laughing and talking with each other and paid us no mind. It seems like they try to create an exclusive/luxurious appeal but it falls short of that. There have been so many times I’ve attempted to pop in to buy an item or two but i couldn’t because they have a 2hr wait so I end up leaving the city. They rather create fake hype and exclusivity by exaggerating wait times and have people like myself who actually intend to spend money walk away empty handed. I’d stay away from here, isn’t worth it at all.
Check out the KITH store and you’ll see a night and day difference in customer service. KITH’s customer service is exceptional. They do sometimes have lines outside to get in but when you make it in there actually is a large number of people inside shopping and even with the large groups of customers their staff do an amazing job at greeting and assisting you, making you feel welcomed and appreciated."
