Yes, i suppose it is a lot cheaper to just pay the ticket to go up one the skyscrapers in the city, but this experience of dining while enjoying the magnificent view is unbeatable. "For our wedding anniversary last year, I suggested to my wife to have drinks and light bites at Bar SixtyFive, and thanks to her, she made reservations herself, and coached me what to wear as well. On the day itself, getting to Rockefeller in time, getting in line in a jiffy, and being ushered to the elevator were all a breeze. We asked for a table and upon being seated ordered champagne, then their exquisite salmon platter next. Before the food was served, we went out to the open deck to enjoy the views of Midtown Manhattan with our champagne glasses, and took selfies and photos of each other, the majestic dusk skyline in the background. The food, it turned out, was excellent, all the more enriching our enjoyment of the champagne. It was time well used, money well spent, and an evening to remember for a long time. Until our next big date, that is."
