What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Statue of Liberty as an iconic and meaningful symbol of freedom, with breathtaking views of the harbor and skyline. The up-close experience on Liberty Island is highly recommended for its historical significance and impressive scale. However, many note that the statue can appear smaller than expected, and advance booking for crown access is absolutely essential.
"If you want to visit the Statue of Liberty, this is my recommendation:
Once you arrive at The Battery Park New York.
On your Google maps, search for this location:
Statue City Cruises Battery Park
This is the official site to buy your tickets and visit the Statue of Liberty.
Be careful and don't fall for illegal ticket scams.
I say this because when you arrive at The Battery Park you will find many people dressed in red vests, purple shirts, etc. who pretend to be "official sellers" but they are NOT.
They will try everything to convince you to buy from them, but DON'T DO IT. Just walk to the place I told you about and there you will find the official tickets for $25.50 US.
Once you have purchased the tickets, you have to walk about 5 minutes to where you will board the ferry.
To be honest, it's a unique experience. You can get off on the island and see the museum that shows how the statue was built, and buy souvenirs that you won't find anywhere else."

"The Statue of Liberty is an iconic landmark and a must-see in New York City. Visiting the island and seeing the statue up close is an unforgettable experience. The views of the skyline from the ferry are amazing, and the history behind the monument makes it even more meaningful. A true symbol of freedom and a highlight."

"The Statue of Liberty lookout offers breathtaking views! Whether you're at the pedestal or crown level, the experience is totally worth it. Looking out over the New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline is unforgettable.
The climb is a bit narrow and steep (especially to the crown), but manageable if you're reasonably fit. Advance tickets are a must — they sell out fast, so plan ahead.
Everything was well organized, and the weather on the day we visited made it even more special. Great photo opportunities and a deep sense of history — don’t miss it!"
