"BCD Tofu House is always my first stop whenever I’m in NYC and the place I take every guest who visits me. Located right in the heart of Koreatown, it’s fast, affordable, and consistently delicious.
Yes, there’s usually a wait (it’s K-Town, after all), but I tend to go later at night and it’s always worked out perfectly. The dining room is surprisingly spacious, and the staff moves with lightning speed. You’re seated, you order, and your food arrives before you even start to wonder where it is.
The soondubu (tofu soup) hits the spot every single time rich, comforting, and customizable to your spice level. And the free banchan (side dishes) just make the whole experience even better. It’s one of those meals that feels like a hug, especially on a cold NYC night.
If you’re looking for a reliable, flavorful, and satisfying Korean meal in Midtown, BCD Tofu House never misses. Highly recommend!"

"Seafood tofu stew was actually very good — if only there had been a bit more seafood, it would’ve been perfect.
But the beef? A complete disaster. I’ve honestly never had beef this unappetizing before. Tough, dry, and just unbelievable… and they charged me over $30 something for this plate 😭😭😭
Ironically, the side dishes were way more appealing!
The fried fish was delicious 😋
As for the beef — chef, please! You can do better!"
