Cafe Wha? is celebrated for its incredibly talented and energetic house band that keeps the crowd dancing and singing along. Visitors love the historic Greenwich Village atmosphere and the unpretentious, inclusive vibe. However, some find the venue to be cramped, loud, and lacking in modern amenities like AC or cell service.
"A small space with plenty of seating.
There is a "two drink minimum" per person policy, but that policy includes their food menu too, so its not hard to meet.
The house band was fantastic. They played a mix of English and Spanish music with a great mix of eras and genres.
People were dancing in the aisles, singing along and having a great time!"

"Went on a Wednesday night when the house band was playing at had a very good time for only a $10 cover. They have a 2 drink or food item minimum so one could even make it Dinner & Music if you want a one stop experience. Each of the band members took a turn leading a handful of songs which was enjoyable because it gave the show variety and could see what type of music each musician shines at playing. The space is rather tight and not every seat has a good view but it’s a basement venue so just consider it part of the experience. It is loud so take earplugs if that’s a concern for you."

"This is the first time that I went to this historic place however this female staff wants to disrespect one of my friend's family that they need to upgrade for a premium seat and that's not fair and it cost $251-$375 to bring 5 to 10 people in each table. And also the basement was very hot because it doesn't have no AC, no WiFi, and last but not least no cell service whatsoever in other words what if something is going to happen in case of an emergency.
However the performance was nice but not the staffs
