What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Pier 26 for its beautiful river views, free kayaking opportunities, and the innovative Science Playground, making it a great spot for families and dog owners. Some find it can be too energetic for a truly peaceful sunset, suggesting alternative piers for quieter moments. The Greenway's designated lanes are appreciated for safety.
"Although it was very pretty there, it wasnt the best place for me to see the sunset and the energy of everyone running, jogging was too much for the calm that I actually wanted. So, we moved to pier 46 which was a bit more my energetic speed. Watch for that review."

"Good for a morning hike. There are many people jogging and walking along the river and also maybe people doing watersports like learning how to ride a boat.
The view with the Hudson River breeze provide a enjoyable experience especially in the summer.
Walking long this river all the way to the battery park would be a good course for morning exercise"

"I went to Pier 26 for kayaking a few times this summer, and it is so nice. First of all, it is free and the staff are nice. Once you sail out to the River, you will see the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, the One World Trade Center. When you paddle more to the Jersey side, there is the Statue of Liberty and the Elise Island. I recommend that you go to Pier 26 about 20 minutes before it starts because the line gets longer. There are lockers to leave your belongings during your activity. The seating area of the kayak is wet, so wear something you don't mind getting wet or bring a cardigan to cover it."
