What’s the history of this building in City of Newburgh?
It feels like it’s been abandoned/neglected for as long as I can remember. It’s in front of the Newburgh Free Library. If anyone knows, I am curious on what it used to be and why it’s just standing there? It is sort of beautiful in a way, but I’m trying to understand it.

Commute from Newburgh near (Stewart Airport) to downtown NYC?
Hi all, I am researching commuting options from western Newburgh by Stewart Airport to Manhattan. I see both train and bus options online. Hoping you can help with some insight. 1. Is Beacon the closest train station? How difficult is it to park at Beacon? 2. I see Coach…

Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Newburgh City Club Ruins to be a visually striking and atmospheric historical site, particularly appealing for photography and urban exploration. However, the surrounding city of Newburgh presents challenges with parking regulations and sometimes difficult interactions with municipal services, which can detract from the overall experience for some.
"Visited Newburgh today to celebrate my friend birthday at a local popular restaurant. Paid my parking ticket and had a great time at the restaurant only to come out to a ticket that because I backed into the parking spot instead of driving in I was ticketed. Imagine that there’s a local law that tells you how to park in a parking space that is not posted anywhere for out of towners to see but you are ticketed. You’d think Newburgh would focus on building up Newburgh by making it welcoming. I went to city hall and was told I can go to court to fight the ticket why would I when I don’t plan to visit again? I’ll take my business elsewhere until Newburgh learn how to make pragmatic business focus decisions to welcome customers."

"Every municipal office associated with the City of Newburgh is a disaster: highly disorganized, incompetent and missing staff, poor service to residents. They are interested in collecting fines and fees. They are not interested in effective communication, keeping our city clean and safe, or providing the basic government services to which its citizens are entitled and for which we pay. If you are wondering why the city is taking such a long time to turn around: look in the mirror."

"Feeling discouraged. When I originally signed up my 3 year old for school at lab school at SUNY Orange there were designated parking to drop off kids safely. Now those parking spots are gone because of the construction right by the school and only handicapped spots are there. Then we were parking by boces and walk down the steps now there is construction there also. Thus, I quickly parked my car by the handicap for not even 5 mins and 130 ticket because I have no handicap sticker.
I spoke with Vicki today who said there was nothing she could do I can park across the street sure and cross in that chaos with a 3 year old or I need to get a handicap sticker. All this makes no sense. The school says the garage well tried that today and felt so unsafe under that garage which was so far away from the school walking on slippery surfaces and areas without lights.
No one is thinking about our little ones just one of those handicap signs being designated to us during drop off times would help so much but I’m told the state controls the handicap spaces per the amount of spaces. I always respect handicap spots and thankful they are available but there is the school right there and a spot is needed for parents olease"
